Need to do these things right away when unfortunately getting F0
23/02/2022
Cần thực hiện ngay những việc này khi không may bị F0

With the number of cases of Covid-19 increasing rapidly today, the risk of each one of us catching Covid-19 is always constant. So what should you do if you are infected with Covid-19?

Covid-19 test (rapid or PCR)

This is the first and most urgent thing to do when showing symptoms of Covid-19 infection. According to Official Letter No. 11042/BYT-DP, F0 is determined through testing with SARS-CoV-2 virus as follows:

- PCR test positive for Covid-19.

- Being F1, rapid test positive for Covid-19.

- Being a person with suspected symptoms of Covid-19, having a positive rapid test for Covid-19 and having epidemiological factors (excluding F1).

- Being a person who has a positive rapid test result twice in a row for Covid-19 (two tests are 08 hours apart) and has epidemiological factors (excluding F1).

According to this regulation, no matter which case, suspected case, F1 must have Covid-19 test results (whether rapid test or PCT test). Therefore, the first thing when people suspect Covid-19 infection, people need to immediately get tested. Can apply PCR test or rapid test.

Declare to the ward health

Clause 1, Article 47 of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases 2007 states:
When there is an epidemic, a person infected with an epidemic or a person who detects a case of an epidemic or is suspected of having an epidemic must report it to the nearest health agency within 24 hours from the date of detection of the epidemic.

Accordingly, when infected with Covid-19 or suspected of having Covid-19, the infected person or person who detects it is obliged to report to the nearest health agency within 24 hours from the time of detection.

If they fail to do so, according to point a, clause 3 of Decree 117/2020/ND-CP, those who are ill but conceal, fail to declare or fail to promptly declare their Covid-19 infection status or others will be administratively sanctioned from 10 to 20 million dong.

Not only that, if the person infected with Covid-19 does not notify the competent medical facility to apply for a certificate of leave to enjoy social insurance, he will not be entitled to the sickness regime.

Thus, the medical declaration means a lot to F0. It is not only the obligation but also the right of every F0 when unfortunately infected with Covid-19.

Strictly follow the regulations on home isolation

With the current increasing number of Covid-19 cases, many F0 subjects have been treated and isolated at home. Specifically, according to the guidance issued with Decision 261 of the Ministry of Health, the following F0 will be treated at home:

- F0 confirmed by PCT or rapid test as prescribed, asymptomatic or mild, such as fever, dry cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, fatigue, headache, myalgia, numbness of tongue, diarrhea runny nose, loss of smell, loss of taste.

- F0 without signs of pneumonia/hypoxia, respiratory rate < 20 breaths/minute; SpO2 > 96%, no moaning, chest indrawing, nasal flapping, wheezing...

- F0 has no underlying disease or has but has been treated stably.

- F0 has the ability to take care of itself: Self-feeding, bathing, washing clothes, cleaning, communicating with medical staff...

Apply for sick leave to enjoy social insurance benefits

Articles 24 and 25 of the Law on Social Insurance in 2014 stipulates that an employee will be entitled to sickness benefits if he or she suffers an illness or an accident but is not an occupational accident; certified by the medical examination and treatment establishment. Therefore, if infected with Covid-19, F0 obtains a certificate of leave from work, entitled to social insurance, and will be entitled to sickness benefits (based on Official Letter No. 1492 of the Medical Examination and Treatment Administration).

Accordingly, after completing isolation and treatment at home, F0 contacted the medical center to apply for a certificate of leave to enjoy social insurance.
