April 30 each year marks a significant historical milestone for the Vietnamese people – the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day. Over 51 years (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2026), this great victory remains a source of pride and a shining symbol of patriotism, resilience, and the enduring aspiration for independence and freedom of our nation.

The victory on April 30, 1975, brought a triumphant end to the resistance war against the United States, ushering in a new era – an era of peace, independence, unity, and development. It stands as a testament to the sound leadership of the Party, the immense sacrifices of previous generations, and the strength of great national unity.

The 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification is an occasion for us to reflect on our heroic traditions, express deep gratitude to fallen heroes, war invalids, wounded and sick soldiers, and all those who contributed to the revolution; while reinforcing our determination and confidence in building and firmly safeguarding the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
