Over the past years, the material industry has achieved important results, gradually meeting domestic demand and reaching the world market, positively contributing to promoting economic restructuring in many regions, local and national industrialization and modernization. However, besides those results, it also does not deny the fact that our country's materials industry has not developed commensurate with its potentials, desires and requirements. Domestic raw materials have not yet met the needs of many important production sectors and fields, leading to dependence on imported raw materials, thereby affecting the autonomy and resilience of the economy. One of the main reasons is that human resources, especially high-quality human resources in the materials industry are insufficient and weak.
In the context that Vietnam is entering a new stage of development, in order to accelerate the process of industrialization and modernization of the country according to the Party's policy set out at the 13th Congress, Comrade Tran Tuan Anh emphasized. , the material industry must be one step ahead, creating spillover effects, positively impacting the development of other manufacturing industries; it is necessary to have breakthrough strategies and mechanisms and policies to develop the human resources of the material industry in the coming time.
