SHTP aims to become an international standard Research and Development Center

On October 24, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP) celebrated the 23rd anniversary of the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park.
Representatives of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City awarded the Decision to SHTP Labs as qualified to participate in the Project to build a mechanism to promote the formation and development of an internationally-standardized research center (CoE).
After 23 years of establishment and development, SHTP has become one of the leading high-tech centers in the country, the innovation core of Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern Key Economic Zone.
With the "Three Houses" model: State-Scientist-Enterprise, SHTP has formed a dynamic high-tech ecosystem, attracting many leading technology corporations such as Intel, Samsung, Nidec, Jabil, Sonion, Sanofi, Schneider Electric, and more than 160 investment projects with a total registered capital of over 12 billion USD.
Along with that, SHTP has built a Research and Development Center (R&D Center), a Training Center, a High-tech Business Incubator, contributing to the formation of a high-quality human resource team and promoting the commercialization of high-tech products "Make in Vietnam".

Mr. Nguyen Ky Phung, Head of SHTP Management Board, emphasized that entering the new period 2025-2030, SHTP continues to promote its core role in the innovation ecosystem.
At the same time, aiming to become an international standard Research and Development Center, contributing to making Ho Chi Minh City a smart city, a center of technology and innovation in Southeast Asia.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, praised the achievements of SHTP.
At the same time, he emphasized that SHTP is a symbol of the city's aspiration to rise in the fields of innovation. It has become a center of high-tech research and development, making a great contribution to the economy and budget of Ho Chi Minh City.
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee suggested that SHTP should change its development perspective, considering the High-Tech Park as a creative and innovative urban area... to fully exploit the potential of human resources, infrastructure, and preferential policies.
At the same time, promote administrative procedure reform, creating the most favorable conditions for investors.

this occasion, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City awarded the Decision approving the High-Tech Park Research and Development Center (SHTP Labs) to be eligible to participate in the Project to build a mechanism to promote the formation and development of an internationally standardized research center (CoE).
Handing over the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between SHTP Management Board and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City National University for the period 2025-2030 to effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation in Ho Chi Minh City, while strengthening coordination in research, technology transfer, human resource training, infrastructure development and innovation ecosystem in the Southeast region.
