Two more Metro Trains No. 1 to HCMC in mid-June
The 4th and 5th trains of Metro No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) are scheduled to depart from Tokuyama Kudamatsu, Japan, on June 10 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City after 8 days.
The plan has just been implemented by Hitachi contractor (cp3 package: M&E equipment, rails ... ) of Metro Line No. 1, sent to the Urban Railway Management Board (MAUR - investor). Two more trains, this metro line has 5 out of 17 trains imported. Three previous ships were assembled at Long Binh depot (Thu Duc city), preparing for trials.
The initial commissioning was under the charge of Hitachi contractors and domestic personnel including parts such as ship steering, maintenance operation ... will also coordinate the implementation when the training is complete. Along with train testing, support systems such as electricity, signal information (train control), rails ... also checked.
Metro No. 1 has a total investment of more than VND 43,700 billion, nearly 20 km long with 3 underground stations and 11 over-altitude stations. The project currently reaches more than 85%, expected to be exploited in 2022.
