Metro Project Coordination Engineer No. 1 Hoang Mai Tung said that importing more trains helps speed up the test run. First, the train runs at Long Binh depot, then from depot to Binh Thai intersection (Thu Duc city). Next, the train runs from depot to Tan Cang station (Binh Thanh district), then runs throughout the line.
The initial commissioning was under the charge of Hitachi contractors and domestic personnel including parts such as ship steering, maintenance operation ... will also coordinate the implementation when the training is complete. Along with train testing, support systems such as electricity, signal information (train control), rails ... also checked.
Metro No. 1 has a total investment of more than VND 43,700 billion, nearly 20 km long with 3 underground stations and 11 over-altitude stations. The project currently reaches more than 85%, expected to be exploited in 2022.
