A series of key projects in Ho Chi Minh City restarted
17/09/2022
Long Kieng, Nam Ly, Tang Long bridges and nearly 10 key traffic projects unfinished for many years will be rebuilt in the near future due to ground problems being removed.

In Thu Duc City, the Nam Ly bridge project with a total investment of nearly 920 billion VND is scheduled to complete site clearance by the end of this year. The project is located on Do Xuan Hop street, started in 2016 with a length of 650 m, of which the bridge is 450 m long and 20 m wide; the remaining path is 30-37 m wide. Due to the problem of 54 households and organizations, from April 2019, the work had to stop when it reached 39% of the volume.

A representative of Thu Duc City People's Committee said that in October, the locality will complete policies and plans for compensation and resettlement support for households. Compensation payments will be made in the last two months of the year to hand over the entire site to the investor. At that time, the construction process will be completed after 12 months, helping to clear the "bottleneck" on the route.

Among the projects that will be restarted soon, it is worth noting that a series of projects in Thu Duc City such as Tang Long Bridge on La Xuan Oai Street (total new investment of 688 billion VND), expansion of Luong Dinh Cua Street (826 billion VND) VND), Ong Nhieu bridge (425 billion VND); upgrading Rocket Road (400 billion dong), Tan Ky - Tan Quy (237 billion dong) are all in Binh Tan; Vam Sat 2 Bridge (343 billion VND) in Can Gio...

According to Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan, in  the Land Law proposal In the near future, the city notes that the compensation policy will be close to the market, not depending on the land price bracket but with a price list issued by the local government. This price list will depend on the characteristics of the population, urban area, and project location. "Land price close to the market may increase the cost of construction work, but it creates a balance in prices, helping people to agree," said Mr. Hoan.
