The Urban Railway Management Board (MAUR) said that up to now, the total progress of the whole project has reached about 90.91%.
 
Specifically, package No. CP1a (construction of the underground section from Ben Thanh Station to City Theater Station) is currently completing the construction of the Ben Thanh station area. The basic open-dug tunnel area has been completed and is in the process of rebuilding and clearing the ground for Le Loi street. It is expected that until September 2, the entire road surface of Le Loi road will be returned to serve traffic.
 
For package CP1b (construction of the underground section from City Theater to Ba Son station), Shimizu - Maeda contractor has basically completed this package more than 99%. Currently, the construction unit is doing some final finishing works. It is expected to complete this entire package in 2022.

Package No. CP2 (construction of the elevated section and depot with a length of 17.1 km from Ba Son station to Binh Duong province), currently the Sumitomo - Cienco6 Joint Venture contractor (SCC Contractor) has completed the structure of the houses elevated station and viaduct. Currently, the contractor is completing the architectural and M&E works in the station and implementing the construction of pedestrian bridges to increase access for the line.

Package No. CP3 (Procurement of electromechanical equipment, rolling stock, rails and maintenance): Hitachi contractor has completed the import of 17 trains of the project.

The contractor has also installed most of the equipment in 11 systems of the project such as overhead power supply system (OCS), Signaling signal information system, automatic train control system ATO/ATP/ ATS, PSD platform gate system, traction power system ...

MAUR said that the units strive to carry out test runs in each section and throughout the route this year, putting the project into operation at the end of the year. 2023.

For the general consulting bidding package, the Contract Appendix No. 19 has been signed. The consulting unit is quickly restoring all services and deploying maximum personnel to accelerate the project progress.

Ready for the preparation for operation and exploitation

To prepare for the operation and exploitation after the project is completed, MAUR has coordinated with HURC1 Company to submit to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for approval the project of commercial service exploitation on metro line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi). Fairy).
