Belt 3 project: Location to build a bridge over the Saigon River connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong
As an important item of the Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Goi Bridge is nearly 1km long, crossing the Saigon River, invested by Binh Duong and connected to Ho Chi Minh City with a total cost of over 570 billion VND.
On November 3, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Thuan - Deputy Director of Binh Duong Department of Transport said that the locality is prioritizing and focusing on speeding up the progress of regional linking road projects. For the Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City, the part in Binh Duong area is measuring and setting road markers.
Binh Duong province has organized to collect opinions of people affected by the project before conducting compensation and site clearance work.
According to Mr. Thuan, for the Ring Road 3 project, Binh Goi bridge is nearly 1km long, 20m wide, with a scale of 4 lanes with a total investment of over 570 billion VND, which will be started construction in the second quarter of 2023.
The bridge will cross the Saigon River connecting Thuan An City (Binh Duong) with District 12 (HCMC) of the Component 5 Project of the Ring Road 3 Ho Chi Minh City will be implemented by Binh Duong province.
Ring Road 3 passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An and is divided into 4 large sections: Tan Van - Binh Chuan, Tan Van - Nhon Trach, Binh Chuan - National Highway 22 and National Highway 22 - Ben Luc . This project is a strategic traffic axis, creating an urban and industrial corridor for 4 localities and the entire southern key economic region. In which, the section of Tan Van - Binh Chuan (part of My Phuoc - Tan Van road in Binh Duong) with a length of 16 km has been completed.
The rest of Ho Chi Minh City's Ring Road 3, which is more than 76 km long, was approved by the National Assembly in June with a total investment of more than VND 75,000 billion including 8 component projects. The route is expected to start construction in mid-2023 and be completed after 3 years of construction. Particularly, the section through Binh Duong (components 5 and 6) including Tan Van intersection and Binh Goi bridge will start construction in April 2023 with a total implemented capital of more than 19,000 billion VND. In which, the cost of compensation and ground clearance is about VND 13,500 billion.
In addition to Binh Goi Bridge, the Ring 3 project also has Nhon Trach Bridge, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai with a length of 2.6 km, a width of 19.5 m, the cost of implementation is more than VND 1,800 billion.
According to the plan, the geological survey drilling will be completed before October and the site clearance stakes will be completed before December 31, 2022.
