PROGRAM FOR THE "ACT TOGETHER FOR A GREEN, CLEAN, AND BEAUTIFUL ENVIRONMENT" FESTIVAL IN 2026
On June 5th, 2026, in response to the Month of Action for the Environment and World Environment Day 2026, Ho Chi Minh City held the "Acting Together for the Environment – Green, Clean, and Beautiful" festival and a conference on environmental protection and the sorting of household solid waste at source in 2026 at Thu Duc Book Street (Ho Thi Tu Street, Tang Nhon Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Activities at the program:
- Environmental awareness and education: Organizing seminars and guiding primary and secondary school students on sorting waste at source, and properly storing and disposing of hazardous waste in households.
- Waste-for-Gifts program: People bring hazardous waste such as fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, electronic devices, paint, ink, etc., to exchange for environmentally friendly gifts (plants, seeds, soap, water bottles, bags, school supplies, etc.). The total number of gifts is expected to be around 700.
This is a practical community activity aimed at raising awareness about environmental protection, encouraging proper waste sorting and hazardous waste treatment, and motivating businesses to demonstrate their commitment and responsibility to environmental protection for the community.
