Ho Chi Minh City: Appearance of 9 pedestrian bridges connecting the elevated stations of metro line 1

On December 22, Ho Chi Minh City's metro line No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) will officially go into commercial operation. At the same time, 9 pedestrian bridges of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line have also been completed, helping to connect the stations with residential areas and buses, bringing safe travel for passengers.

The Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line project has a total length of 19.7 km, including 2.6 km underground and 17.1 km above ground, with 14 stations, 3 underground stations and 11 above ground stations. The total investment after adjustment is 43,700 billion VND.
 
According to the reporter of Tin Tuc newspaper, after completing the elevated stations of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line project, the pedestrian bridge is the final and important highlight to help passengers access the elevated stations safely and conveniently. At the same time, the approach to the pedestrian bridge is also the main escape route for passengers in case of emergency incidents (fire, explosion) at these stations.

Currently, along the route, there are 9 pedestrian bridges including Tan Cang, Thao Dien, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, Thu Duc, high-tech park and National University station, all of which have been completed, all of which have been installed with roofs.
