In response to the waste classification campaign that is spreading rapidly throughout Vietnam and around the world.
Now the Management Board of SCS Building would like to inform you of Official Letter No. 44/2018 / QD-UBND on "Promulgating the Regulation on classification of daily-life solid waste at source in Ho Chi Minh City"
Quoting “Article 6: Provisions on packaging, equipment for daily-life solid waste storage of households and waste generators:
1. Daily-life solid waste at households and waste generators is stored in appropriate packages and equipment, ensuring environmental sanitation.
2. Packaging (also called trash bags)
a) No regulation on color of garbage bags
b) Encourage households and waste generators to use white and blue bags to store organic waste. Use bags of other colors (except white and blue) to store the remaining waste.
3. Organic waste bags or residual waste bags are distinguished by forms such as: labeling, inscription on bags, color of bags or markings for identification before being transferred to collection points. or delivered to the collection and transportation unit.
4. In the following cases, it is not compulsory to label or mark on bags of daily-life garbage for identification as prescribed in Clause 3 of this Article:
a) The waste source owner or household uses white and blue bags to store organic waste.
b) The waste source owner or household uses types of bags on the market with printed words for identification.
c) The locality has a separate collection time and frequency.
5. Storage device (also called trash)
a) No regulation on color of trash cans
b) Encourage households and waste generators to use storage devices that are specialized waste bins of green manufacturers to store organic waste, and gray waste bins to store residual waste.
6. Department of Natural Resources and Environment guides identification labels affixed on bags, containers of organic waste and residual waste. People's Committees of districts shall print and distribute labels to organizations and households for sticking on bags and trash bins to identify and classify (when required) from additional city funding. annual or balanced from the district budget. The quantity and time of issuance (re-issue) of labels on bags and bins to households and waste generators are decided by localities in accordance with the weekly collection plan and plan determined by the district (except for 5 This). ”
