The Vietnam Earth Hour campaign, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, has attracted the attention and response of 63 provinces and cities and millions of people from all walks of life. In 2018, Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board continued to respond to the launching and response to the Earth Hour campaign in Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park. The time is from 20h30 to 21h30 on 24/3/2018.
Starting in 2007 in Sydney (Australia), the number of participants was only 2 million. Earth Hour is an annual international event, hosted by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which calls on households and businesses to turn off their lights and unaffected electrical equipment. The event is scheduled for an hour at 20:30 to 21:30 (local time) on the last Saturday of March every year.
Every small action will bring great significance to change the community's awareness about environmental protection, energy saving, climate change response, contributing to preserving the country's natural resources, not only for us today, but also for future generations in Vietnam.
Responding to the Campaign and in order to popularize, propagate and raise awareness about energy efficiency, power saving, use of clean and renewable energy sources and environmental pollution reduction, SCS Responding to the campaign, the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park Management Board announced as follows:
- Propagating and informing about the Earth Hour campaign, using electricity economically.
- Perform the power off for 1 hour at 20h30 to 21h30 on 24/3/2018.
- Sorting waste at source.
- Using green products, environmentally friendly products.
- Turn off the engine when the red light is stopped for more than 20 seconds when participating in road traffic by motorbike to reduce emissions causing climate change. Biofuel is preferred (E5).
- Mobilize all officials, workers, employees of agencies, businesses and units to join the campaign in response to practical actions at home and at work.
In the spirit of practically supporting the "Earth Hour 2018" program, SCS is a member of the High-Tech Park expecting officials and employees to work at SCS building in particular and the entire Hi-Tech Park. Ho Chi Minh City in general and their families enthusiastically participate in a number of activities in response to the Earth Hour 2018 Campaign. Let's join hands, contribute to making the world better "Small Action, Big Meaning" contributes to environmental protection and public health.
In addition to implementing Earth Hour, SCS has also launched businesses in the wagon to carry out the movement of waste separation at source to contribute to creating a green, clean and beautiful environment. SCS also uses solar energy with awareness of reducing environmental pollution load.
