Three facilities for collecting and treating patients with mild symptoms of Covid-19 are being completed and put into use in industrial parks in the city.
On the afternoon of November 3, Ms. Le Bich Loan, Deputy Manager of the Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) said that the first 100-bed facility located in SHTP will operate this weekend. The facility has a television, a washing machine, a sports practice area, etc. to ensure living conditions for the people who come for treatment. All equipment and operating costs are contributed by businesses in the area with the participation of a medical unit.

The second facility is located in Linh Trung Export Processing Zone 2 (Binh Chieu ward, Thu Duc city), with a scale of 250 beds, has completed the renovation, repair and installation of equipment to prepare for operation.
The last facility with a scale of 250-300 beds, located in Southeast Industrial Park (Hoa Phu commune, Cu Chi district), was agreed to be established by the investor of this industrial park and Worldon Co., Ltd.
According to the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City's Export Processing - Industrial Zones (Hepza), this agency is reviewing other industrial parks, if eligible, will advise the City People's Committee to set up Covid-19 treatment facilities. This helps businesses proactively handle and treat when infected cases are detected, maintain production chains, and avoid order disruptions.
After a month of organizing production under the "new normal", factories in industrial zones still recorded infections, an average of 50 cases per day. The majority of F0 have no symptoms, or mild symptoms because they have been vaccinated with 2 doses of the vaccine, which does not affect much the production plan of the enterprise.
Ms. Le Bich Loan said that according to regulations, F0 with mild symptoms must still be isolated. However, the living conditions of workers in hostels and accommodation areas are not guaranteed, so it is necessary to set up a collection base right in the industrial park.
In the process of handling F0 at production and business facilities, the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City also allows when detecting an infection on a line, it will be handled on a narrow scale, not closing the entire factory as before.
Ho Chi Minh City's 17 export processing zones, industrial parks and high-tech zones have more than 320,000 employees. After the city "opened up", 96% of factories resumed operation, most of them ended the "3 on-site" option and replaced the safe production method, 80% of employees returned to work.
