Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park attracted over US$1.23 billion in new investment capital during the first nine months of 2026.
In the first nine months of 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park issued new investment registration certificates for four projects with a total registered capital of US$1,230.046 million, reaching 87.9% of the annual target for attracting new investment.
At the regular press conference on Ho Chi Minh City's socio-economic situation, the Management Board of the City's High-Tech Park reported on FDI attraction during the first nine months and the third quarter of 2026, highlighting key projects with significant spillover effects and impacts on the city's economic growth.
Accordingly, during the first nine months of 2026, the High-Tech Park issued new investment registration certificates for four projects with a total registered capital of US$1,230.046 million, achieving 87.9% of the annual target for attracting new investment.
According to the Management Board, the newly licensed projects included two FDI projects with a combined registered capital of US$589.785 million (accounting for approximately 48% of the total newly licensed capital) and two domestic projects with a combined capital of US$640.261 million. Additionally, five existing projects received capital adjustments, resulting in a total capital increase of US$57.519 million.
Specifically, the "Evolution" wholesale hyperscale data center project—with a registered capital of US$508.785 million—represents a major investment in data infrastructure and stands as the largest FDI project licensed at the High-Tech Park over the past nine months. Another notable project is the Techtronic Tools Vietnam factory, with a registered capital of US$81 million, which focuses on the manufacturing of smart electronic devices.

Domestic projects include the STARMASON hyperscale data center complex—with registered capital of approximately US$480.262 million—which contributes to expanding investment in data infrastructure, and the Tam Anh High-Tech Center—with registered capital of US$160 million—which opens up new avenues for developing high-tech services in the biomedical field.
The Hi-Tech Park Management Board stated that these new projects build upon the investment foundation already established within the park. As of the end of the first nine months of 2026, the Hi-Tech Park hosted 165 active projects with a total registered capital equivalent to US$13.863 billion.
Of these, 57 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) projects accounted for a total registered capital of US$11.005 billion, representing approximately 79.4% of the total. The presence of major enterprises and corporations such as Intel, Samsung, TTI, Nipro, Jabil, and Nidec continues to provide a platform for attracting further high-tech projects, fostering supply chain linkages, and expanding opportunities for domestic enterprises to participate.
The Management Board anticipates that, once implemented and operational according to schedule, these new projects will generate demand for technology services and highly skilled labor, while also fostering inter-enterprise collaboration. These factors contribute to the development of the science, technology, and digital transformation ecosystem in alignment with Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW. The specific contribution of these projects to Ho Chi Minh City's economic growth will be assessed based on actual operational results. During the third quarter of 2026, the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park focused on investment promotion and preparing the necessary conditions to welcome potential projects in the final months of the year. Over the nine-month period, the Board hosted and worked with 32 delegations—including international organizations, associations, and domestic and foreign enterprises—to showcase the investment environment, assess investor needs, and facilitate cooperation opportunities in strategic technology sectors.
Concurrently, the Management Board is reviewing land reserves and infrastructure conditions while finalizing the list of new projects seeking investment within the Hi-Tech Park. The primary focus is attracting investors to the City's Strategic Technology Development Center, targeting sectors such as artificial intelligence, data centers, semiconductor microchips, and digital technology.
Based on results from the first nine months, the Hi-Tech Park has achieved 87.9% of its new investment capital target for 2026. To reach the annual goal of $1.4 billion in new investment capital, the Park needs to attract approximately $170 million more during the remaining months of the year.
The average registered capital per project over the nine-month period stood at approximately $307.5 million, significantly exceeding the target of $25 million per project. The objective of attracting at least one project with capital exceeding $500 million was also met with the Evolution FDI project. Building on the results achieved, the High-Tech Park Management Board aims to meet and exceed its new investment attraction targets for 2026. The investment attraction strategy will continue to be implemented selectively, prioritizing projects that feature high technological content and high value-added, ensure the efficient use of land and infrastructure, and possess the capacity to integrate with domestic supply chains and enterprises; such projects will help expand the technology ecosystem, enhance resource utilization efficiency, and contribute to the economic and technological development of Ho Chi Minh City.
