06/08/2021
In 5 weeks (from July 9 to August 6), a batch of vaccines in the contract has been imported to Vietnam every week. To date, VNVC has received nearly 4.4 million doses of AstraZeneca vaccine (about 37% of total AstraZeneca vaccine volume in the country). About 25.6 million more doses, under this contract, will be "delivered at the earliest" by AstraZeneca.

Thus, to date, Vietnam has received a total of about 12 million doses of AstraZeneca, supplied from three sources: VNVC contracts, Covax Mechanism and aid between governments. The number of AstraZeneca vaccines accounts for 64% of the total number of Covid-19 vaccines in the country.

In addition, there are more than 5 million doses of Moderna donated by the US, more than 400,000 doses of Pfizer under a contract purchased by the Ministry of Health, more than 10,000 doses of Sputnik V donated by the Russian government, 1.5 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine donated by China and TP. HCM ordered...

Last week, AstraZeneca announced it had delivered one billion doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to people in 170 countries. Particularly Covax, AstraZeneca accounted for more than 60% of the total vaccine supply provided by this mechanism to 128 countries.

As of August 5, the country has vaccinated more than 8 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines of all kinds, of which 7,241,093 people have been vaccinated with one dose, and 820,023 people with the second injection.
