Ho Chi Minh City cooperates in training high-tech skills to meet international standards

On February 12th, the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park (SHTP), British University Vietnam (BUV) and the City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) cooperated to train high-tech skills that meet international standards...

Representatives of SHTP, BUV and ITPC signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation agreement on the model of High-Tech Skills Training Center meeting international standards.
Through this cooperation agreement, SHTP, BUV and ITPC will jointly study and build a model for organizing a High-Tech Skills Training Center that meets international standards; study the specific needs for human resources and training of high-tech human resources of domestic enterprises and foreign-invested enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City, the Southern region, Vietnam and internationally.
At the same time, develop detailed plans and strategies on operations and finance for a High-Tech Park training center that meets international standards; develop training plans, programs and programs that are suitable for practice; connect training cooperation opportunities with sponsors, funds and large enterprises and corporations and complete the overall project to submit to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for approval.
The model of a High-Tech Skills Training Center that meets international standards will be located at the High-Tech Park Training Center, one of four public service units under SHTP.
In addition, the model of the High-Tech Skills Training Center that meets international standards is expected to become a typical model in advanced training and skills transfer training, helping the Vietnamese workforce to be flexible, adapt quickly and effectively to meet the demand for high-quality labor in prominent technology fields such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, etc. of the 4th industrial revolution, thereby improving competitiveness and directly contributing to the development of Vietnam's digital economy. Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan said that this cooperation is not simply a training program, but also an important contribution to the long-term development strategy of the City and the whole country. In particular, the program "Developing human resources for the semiconductor industry to 2030, with a vision to 2050" has set a goal of training at least 50,000 human resources with university degrees or higher to serve the semiconductor industry by 2030. This is an important task, requiring the joint efforts of state agencies, educational institutions and enterprises. In addition, the cooperation demonstrates the strong commitment of the three parties in developing high-quality human resources, meeting the needs of domestic and foreign enterprises, contributing to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; at the same time contributing to the socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.
