The workshop also determined the direction and tasks of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park for the period up to 2030, with a vision to 2045, with the goal of building the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park into a smart, innovative and creative technology park, the core of a highly interactive creative urban area in the east of the city.

In his opening speech, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ky Phung, Head of the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, said: The High-Tech Park has undergone 22 years of formation and development, during which time, the High-Tech Park has attracted many high-tech projects, leading corporations in the world to invest, this is also a place to focus on linking research activities, high-tech application, contributing to improving and enhancing the investment capacity of Ho Chi Minh City - the southern key economic region and the whole country.
At the workshop, the Management Board of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City proposed a number of suggestions for the development of the High-Tech Park such as: Identifying the current status of export processing zones and industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City in the past time; Identifying the development orientation of industrial parks in Ho Chi Minh City; The role of the High-Tech Park in promoting the conversion of industrial parks towards high-tech development and forming symbiotic industrial clusters; Continuing to accelerate the process of converting industrial parks into high-tech industrial parks in the coming time.
In recent years, the High-Tech Park of Ho Chi Minh City has had many achievements contributing to the development of the city. These include land use efficiency, labor productivity, import and export, especially the influence and inspiration for the young generation, scientists, and businesses in developing science and technology, stimulating innovation.
