Two more metro trains No. 1 are coming to Ho Chi Minh City
Two trains will enter Khanh Hoi port on March 9 to prepare for the test run of metro line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien).
Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board said that, on the evening of February 28, the next two trains of metro line 1 will leave the Japanese port to return to Ho Chi Minh City.
It is expected that the next two trains, 12th and 13th, will enter Khanh Hoi port (District 4) on March 9th.

Thus, counting two new trains about to return to Ho Chi Minh City, metro line 1 has imported 13/17 trains to the country to prepare for the test run at each depot area.
The transportation of the train is the same as the previous times, the contractors will also lower the train to the super-heavy vehicle. After that, the trains will be transported to the Long Binh depot, TP. Thu Duc. After returning to the Long Binh depot, the trains will be connected to the signal system in this area.
After the inspection work is completed, the above trains will be tested. To ensure progress, the investor and contractor are accelerating the completion of importing all 17 trains of the route for trial operation as planned.
By design, each train consists of 3 carriages, carrying a total of 930 passengers. Of which, 147 guests are seated and 783 are standing. The traveling speed of the elevated section is 110km/h, and the underground section is 80km/h.
Metro project No. 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) has 14 stations, 19.7km long. In which, 2.6km goes underground and 17.1km goes above. After operating, metro line 1 has a route through districts 1, 2, 9, Binh Thanh, Thu Duc (HCMC) and Di An (Binh Duong).
According to the Management Board of Urban Railways of Ho Chi Minh City, currently metro line No. 1 has achieved 89% of the total volume. It is expected that the unit will put this train into commercial operation in 2023.
