President of the American Semiconductor Industry Association visited Saigon High-Tech Park

On the morning of December 8, Mr. John Neffeur, President and CEO of the American Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) and businesses Intel, Synopsys, Ampere Computing, and Marvell had a working session with the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Management Board.
 
Previously, on the afternoon of December 7, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. John Neffeur and leaders of leading US semiconductor enterprises such as Intel, Qualcom, Ampere, ARM... to visit and work in Vietnam.

At the meeting with the Management Board of Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park, Associate Professor - Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of the Committee introduced the City High-Tech Park, visited the Intel Vietnam factory and the Electronics and Microchip Center. semiconductor (ESC).
 
ESC is a cooperation model between SHTP Training Center and Sun Edu International Education Joint Stock Company (SunEdu). ESC has just been established about 3 months ago, and is the unit assigned to be the focal point for implementing the signed cooperation contents. Sun Edu is a professional training organization in the field of electronics and semiconductor circuits, specializing in providing professional training courses in the field of electronics and semiconductor circuits for businesses.
 
At ESC, the American Semiconductor Industry Association delegation and businesses visited two classes training on IC design on the EDA software tool platform of Sysnopsys and Cadence. Mr. John Neuffer highly appreciated this training model, because it is extremely important in developing the field of semiconductor chips and is a good environment to attract investment and recommended continuing to promote it. 
Leaders of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park emphasized that Hi-Tech Park is the best environment for the semiconductor chip industry, such as a strategic location with traffic connections, complete infrastructure, and flexible preferential policies. activities, especially the advantage of high quality human resources and a developed industry ecosystem. Therefore, the High-Tech Park is the chosen location for chip companies to establish chip research and design centers, chip packaging and testing factories. 
 
Mr. John Neuffer and SIA members highly appreciated the investment environment of Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park. The meeting opened up great prospects for cooperation, investment, and development of the semiconductor chip industry for Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular, in which the City Hi-Tech Park plays a pioneering role.
 
SIA, founded in 1977, is an association representing the US semiconductor industry, one of the country's leading export industries. To date, SIA brings together a network of member businesses that account for 99% of the US semiconductor industry's revenue, of which 2/3 are foreign semiconductor businesses. SIA has had a positive voice for the US side to promote cooperation in developing the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam.
